High Speed
At Ebbsfleet International, a new link connects the high-speed line with the existing North Kent Line. This will provide the opportunity for new domestic services serving Gravesend and the Medway towns to access the high-speed route.

Faster Journey Times
Typical journey times are anticipated to be Gravesend to London in 20 minutes, (rather than the current 50 minutes), and a new 17 minute journey from Ebbsfleet into St Pancras International in central London.
Domestic travellers will also benefit. In 2009, Ebbsfleet International will open for domestic passenger services provided by a new generation of high-speed commuter trains. This service will be operated by Southeastern Trains – for more information click on:
But ultimately, this is a story of increased international footfall acting as the glue to regenerate the entire Kent Thameside conurbation. The station will be at the very heart of business developments in the area and will provide major new employment opportunities.
